Who We Are
We are a registered non-governmental organization whose main office is based in Nairobi, Kenya. The purpose of OLIVE INTERNATIONAL is to promote positive youth development by building on young people’s strengths and providing them with support and opportunities that will help them achieve life goals as they transition to responsible adulthood.

Mission
To promote responsible living among young people through personal positive development and mentoring, and thereby strengthening the moral character of society.
Programmes
Youth Focused Leadership & Mentoring Program
Designed to build the leadership capacity of young people aged 16-30. In addition, they are trained to be either peer mentors or older-to-younger mentors in their communities. Participants are drawn from high schools, colleges, universities, and other youth spaces.
Youth Counselling Services
The purpose of this program is to empower young people to find their way through social-emotional support and by building safe spaces for them within their communities. Working with a skilled and impartial youth counsellor, they are able to address problems at home, with friends, in their local community, education or employment.
Youth-Led Research and Advocacy
Youth-led Research is an approach that empowers children and young people growing up in difficult circumstances, to understand better their communities and the social values and issues that involve and affect them, so they can become active agents of change.
Youth Outreach and Partnership Program
Following the positive youth development approach, we believe that young people have gifts and talents that need to be nurtured in a responsible manner. As a result, we at Olive are committed to using various ways to reach out to youth who may not be found in the usual youth spaces such as schools, colleges and universities.
Publication of Youth-Focused IEC Material
The purpose of the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) program is to promote access for young people to information in order to increase their participation in public life and help them realize their potential as active, responsible citizens.
